Dear users,

This is to inform you that the cluster will be taken offline today at 13:30 for an unplanned electrical maintenance intervention.

The shutdown has been called to allow electricians from the building facilities to carry out testing of the electrical infrastructure. Although the technicians have suggested that it may not be strictly necessary to power down the cluster, since the intervention involves the same electrical implant, we have decided to proceed with a precautionary shutdown in order to protect the equipment.

We sincerely apologize for the short notice. Unfortunately, this maintenance was not scheduled properly by the responsible parties, leaving us no choice but to proceed on an emergency basis.

We have already coordinated with the technical staff of the Department and the University’s technical office to ensure that any future maintenance interventions of this kind will be scheduled with adequate advance notice.

Please save your work and make sure to checkpoint any running jobs before 13:30.
