Dear users,
We would like to inform you of an important change regarding the storage infrastructure on the cluster.
As part of an ongoing effort to modernize and streamline our storage systems, we will begin phasing out the /nas filesystem. Starting January 1st, 2026, the following changes will take effect:
- /nas will no longer be mounted on production (compute) nodes.
- /nas will remain accessible only from the login nodes.
This means that any jobs running on compute nodes will no longer be able to access /nas as of the above date.
To ensure a smooth transition, we strongly encourage all users who currently rely on /nas to begin migrating their data to the /work partition. The /work filesystem is designed for active workloads and will fully replace /nas in our production environment moving forward.
Please start planning your migration as soon as possible to avoid job interruptions or data accessibility issues. If you need assistance or have questions about how to best reorganize your data, feel free to contact the helpdesk.
Best regards,
Lorenzo.
