Communications Policy
As a user of AImageLab-HPC, you will receive emails about system outages, scheduled maintenance, and policy updates. We aim to send only information that is relevant and actionable for all users.
Mass Notifications
System-wide announcements are sent by the AImageLab-HPC portal to all users with an active account. These include:
- Emergency and unplanned outages.
- Scheduled maintenance windows.
- Changes to policies or usage rules.
- Occasional announcements relevant to the user community.
Mass notification emails cannot be opted out of. They are sent only when genuinely necessary.
Maintenance: we plan maintenance windows on a monthly basis, though the schedule may vary. Users are always notified well in advance of planned downtime.
ColdFront Notifications
The ColdFront portal sends automated notifications when allocations are approaching their expiration date. These are sent to the Principal Investigator and all project members.
Individual users can disable ColdFront allocation notifications: log in to the portal, open the relevant project, and uncheck the box next to your name. PIs and project managers cannot disable these notifications.
The ColdFront News section also publishes announcements and cluster updates - check it regularly for information that may not warrant a direct email.
